Why Chicago is a Great Place to Study Veterinary
Gazette Newspapers reported that Dog Fancy magazine named Chicago “Dogtown USA,” the number one Best City for Dogs in America in 2005. Dogfriendly.com concurs, naming Chicago among the top ten best places to own a dog; even the world champion White Sox have a “Dog Day” when fans can bring their dogs to the game. Couple its pet-friendly reputation with the incredible wild animal collections at the Shedd Aquarium and Lincoln Park Zoo, and it’s easy to see that Chicago is a veterinarian-friendly city, as well as a great place to study and practice animal health science.
